Hey Church, Those crickets are loud…

Stuff I can’t/won’t hold in. Stuff I got to say. Where we are as a nation is so dark and cruel yet Christians are silent… I legit don’t feel good at all.

America, you are screwed up.

America, you are now the most hated nation in the world.

America, this is what happens when put all of your trust in a piece of literature.

America, how far are you going to take this?

America, you are going to suffer greatly for the ways you treat people.

How long and how much is it going to take before something happens to bring justice to the people taking kids away from their parents?

How long is it going to take before people of color get equal rights?

How long is it going to take for women to have equal rights?

How long is it going to take for transgender people and all of the lgbtqia+ community to feel safe and accepted?

I’m not ok. If I was then I would be a part of this modern day world war 2 era we are living in and feel like just carrying on with life but, I can’t. I can’t keep watching this shit unfold. I can’t stand that the Christians are so quiet it’s like they have forgotten what it means to love thy neighbor as thyself. They must hate themselves pretty strongly, as it would seem.

I know people that go all over the world going into community’s they try and create sustainable resources stick around for a month get a few selfies with the person of color and just leave never to speak to them again. Now why is it so easy for the Christian to go over seas and “help” but going up the road is impossible? That makes no sense and is really discouraging to say the least.

If you claim Christianity as your religion and do missions trips ask yourself, “am I really making an impact or am I just fucking these people over even more?” I’ll answer that you are fucking them over leaving them to gain their culture back after trying to melt in western culture for the duration of your trip.

Stop going over seas and help the kids and parents seeking legal asylum. Stop focusing on the next selfie you get to take and go love people. Coordinate outreach to help and to love these people, y’all we are living in a hitler era and if you can’t see that I have no hope for you. You are so blindsided by your next trip and that is absolutely disgusting.

Church, open your doors. Or pay taxes. The reason you dont pay taxes is because you “help” those in need. Fucking get off your asses and do something in your communities. Especially those of you in Tyler, TX there is a church on every corner what the fuck are you doing to help these families being separated? All I hear are crickets and your drunks making the same excuses every Sunday, “father forgive me for I have sinned” then go back and get drunk by one because they can’t by beer till after 12 pm on Sunday.

Church, fix this this is all on you. You voted this GOP in and you will be held accountable. You are making your rooms next to mine in hell and you don’t even realize it. But, by your logic I’ll see you all in hell. I’ll ignore you and laugh because you where so caught up in your selfie you forgot what it means to love.

My name is Sasha Adele Braden, a transgender woman, who is queer and living in freedom. I knew I was transgender at the age of five because my development just seemed off so I had an inclination something was very wrong. I was locked away because of shame and I decided that I was going to take my truth to the grave and never open up to anyone because I was full of fear. That all changed February 14, 2018, when it all came out. I’m free. I’m alive. I’m learning that life isn’t just eating, sleeping, having sex, and going to the bathroom but it is so much more! Learning that has been a blast! I am also co-managing a grassroots organization called, “REFLECT” and it is all about trans and nonbinary expression through community while being able to completely lean on allies. I am super stoked to be doing this and being a safe place for the queer community of Austin, TX. Look up my Facebook page “REFLECT” for more details. With all of that said, welcome to my life. I welcome all types of people and welcome all types of dialogue. So, drop a comment or two on a post every once In a while this blog is mainly just a way to let go of trauma from my past. Expressing it has helped me overcome things I thought I was never going to be able to overcome and I’m living in freedom for the first time in my life.
